Snowed in by a winter storm, we spend the day cooking vibrant, from-scratch meals from our homestead pantry—using homegrown, fermented, and preserved food to feed a family of eight 🍴Recipes - Pickled Carrots and Onions: 1C Rice Wine Vinegar 1/4C Sugar 1tsp Salt 2C Carrots 1C Onions Hasselback Sweet Potatoes: 6 sweet potatoes 2Tbsp Olive Oil 1/4C Butter, melted 1/4C Maple Syrup, combine with Butter over low heat Salt for topping Cook sliced potatoes drizzled with olive oil at 425 F until tender. Remove from oven and drizzle with maple syrup and butter mix. Then cook for an additional 5 minutes. Take out and serve.
