Prehistoric people were incredibly intelligent and clever, and they knew how to work with the natural environment around them. There's a chance they may have used parts of the birch plant for textile dyeing. I've been in a bit of a natural dyeing wormhole recently, experimenting with different crops utilised throughout history, or in this case, (possibly) prehistory.
In this video, I experiment with dyeing wool fabric with the bark and the leaves of the birch tree, to figure out what type of colour I'm going to get.
