In today’s video, we break down the official announcement from the Pokémon TCG Championship Series regarding a 3-month End of Season break that will completely pause Championship Point (CP)–earning events during the summer. What’s Changing? -No CP-earning events from June 15, 2026 – August 31, 2026 -League Challenges, League Cups, and other CP events are shut down -Competitive play enters an official offseason -The new season begins September 1, 2026 (instead of July 1) This marks the first true offseason for Pokémon TCG players, giving competitors a much-needed break and reducing burnout from the long competitive grind. What Happens During the Break? Instead of CP events, Pokémon will host Mid-Year Celebration casual events, where players can still enjoy organized play and earn awesome rewards — including an exclusive playmat featuring: Chikorita, Totodile and Tepig Perfect for casual fun, testing decks, and playing without ranking pressure!
