I spend every year making videos that deep dive into how capable the iPhone is as a camera in your pocket, thus I have really high expectations of what to expect from camera performance of a phone. I felt like it was finally time to see what the other side was capable of when it comes to photography, and let me tell you - I have been pleasantly surprised. After spending a couple weeks with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, I’ve yet to even utilize half of it’s camera features but there’s been a stand out camera mode that I cannot stop using and as the title says, I think it’s better than my iPhone.
