I came to the Eastern Sierra to dodge the rain and ski at the highest elevation resort in California, Mammoth Mountain.Things didn't go as planned... Mammoth mountain sucked for 2 days due to rainfall, soggy snow and 100 mph wind holds. Weather happens. But, thankfully June Mountain, a complete sleeper ski hill, saved the trip. This spot is just a quick drive from Mammoth and is like the Japan of California. Somehow it was completely bluebird and saved me from going stir crazy waiting for the weather to chill at Mammoth.
