The harder question is whether Anycubic have actually learned anything over the last few years — or whether this is just another iteration chasing whatever sold well last season. The Kobra line has evolved fast. Kobra 2. Kobra 3. Revisions. Tweaks. Adjustments. You can almost track the market through their release cycle. Each version getting closer to what consumers clearly want from a modern bedslinger. So what exactly is this one? In this review I assemble it from flat pack, wire it up properly, run it through real workshop jobs, test the four-material system without adding external hardware, push the new toolhead mechanics, check purge behaviour, live with the UI, test RFID workflow, connect it to WiFi and cloud, and see what day-to-day ownership actually feels like beyond the first print. Because this isn’t about whether it looks familiar. It’s about execution. Does the 260 x 260 x 260 build volume still make sense in 2026? Is built-in multi-material without a separate unit actually simpler — or just different? Are the claimed material savings noticeable in real prints? Has Anycubic’s slicer and ecosystem matured? And does this feel like a short-cycle product… or something built to last? There are some genuinely clever engineering decisions here.
