Often called “The Irish Bohemian Rhapsody,” this track blends traditional Irish melodies with hard rock intensity — and the result is lightning in a bottle. Gary Moore had just joined the band for this album, replacing Brian Robertson, and his playing here is explosive. But from a drummer’s perspective, Brian Downey is magnificent. Composed. Dynamic. Driving. Downey balances: • restraint and lift • groove and power • traditional phrasing with rock aggression • dynamic control across multiple sections This performance feels authentic in a way that’s hard to fake.
