In this video, I tear down, clean, upgrade, and overclock an Alienware Aurora R4 to find out. This old beast came with high-end hardware for its time, tons of proprietary parts, an absurd number of screws, and enough plastic to build a second PC. I took the whole thing apart, cleaned years of dust and old smell out of it, upgraded the CPU, SSD, GPU, tested different DDR3 memory kits, and pushed the system with overclocking. The original hardware was already interesting, but things got a lot more fun after swapping parts and comparing performance. I tested the PC in old and modern games, compared stock vs overclocked results, checked how the i7-3930K and i7-4960X behave on X79, and even installed a GTX TITAN and RTX 4090 just to see how far this 2011 Alien machine could go.
